2016 CPCU Excellence Award Recipient: Beata Craig
At the May 2016 Central IL CPCU lunch meeting the Continuing Professional Development Committee awarded a very deserving Ms. Beata Craig this distinguished honor. Beata served as Program Chair for I-Day during 2014, overseeing the committee that identified topics and speakers for our program attended by over 500 people in November 2014. This service entailed over seven months of meetings, numerous phone calls to prospect for speakers, and a number of written communications.
In 2015 Beata assumed the role of overall I-Day Chair. In this role she provided encouragement and coordination for the I-Day Facilities, Marketing, and Program committees in addition to the New Designee committee. Without her leadership and guidance, the 2015 I-Day event would not have been the standard by which other Chapter's I-Days are compared.
Our National CPCU President's regularly attend our Chapter event in November each year. They have commented on the information-packed high-quality nature of our I-Day. Beata made major contributions over the past 24 months.
Beata is a hard-working individual who currently serves as a Manager in State Farm's Enterprise Compliance and Ethics Department. She uses her organizational and communications skills to benefit each effort she undertakes. Those serving with and for Beata appreciate her fair and friendly manner, along with her "get it done" determination. Moving things forward and striving for excellence are two characteristics Beata possesses that I have appreciated in working with her over the years. I can think of no one more deserving of this award than Beata.
