All Industry Day Committee An annual professional development event that provides speakers on various insurance related themes to increase our audience's business accumen; and commend the most recent conferring class of CPCUs for the hard work and dedication to the professional designation.
Audit Committee Audit chapters’ financial records annually or upon request and submit report of findings.
Board of Directors Develop chapter plans, policy objectives, and chapter strategy
Candidate Recruitment &Development Committee [Committee News] Recruits qualified candidates for the pursuit of CPCU education. This is accomplished by contacting those who have completed the associates program and encouraging those who temporarily interrupted their study to re-enroll
Chapter Planning Committee Ensure the chapter plans its goals and objectives each year.
Company Connections Committee Enhance the visibility of the society with employers of five or more CPCU members.
Continuing Professional Development Committee [Committee News] Solicits and awards a CPCU Excellence Award, maintains and promotes an active CPD program, maintains an active development program for chapter and National leaders through the NLI Program, and reports Continuing Education credits to National.
Database &Reservation Committee Maintains membership roster and name tags. Sends out chapter meeting notices. Collects meeting fees and handles reservations for various chapter meetings.
Ethics Committee Works on Ethics Awareness Month activity, enhance ethics awareness through educational programs, presentations, and articles.
Facilities Committee Plans and arranges locations and menus for the various chapter meetings, including lunch and dinner meetings.
Good Works Committee Supports the social service organizations in communities represented by the Central Illinois Chapter of CPCU. Recruit volunteer assistance to programs benefiting youth, senior citizens, and/or those in need.
Laws and History Committee Maintain historical records of the chapter. As required, develop by-law changes and review board activity for compliance with by-laws.
Member Feedback Committee Conducts an annual member survey to gather feedback from chapter members about the level of satisfaction with the chapter and the value of chapter services. Also, handles administration of the Chapter Interest Inventory.
Mentoring Committee The Mentoring committee is responsible for promoting interest &participation in the CPCU Society through mentorship activities &events. The committee has 2 areas of focus – the Annual CPCU Society Expo and the Mentoring/College Mentoring program.
New Designee Committee Host the new designee dinner, encourage designees to become involved with the local chapter, and coordinate new designees conferment ceremony during the All Industry Day.
Pekin/Peoria Connection Committee Participates in organizing activities to specifically target Peoria area members.
Programs Committee Provide a variety of speakers and programs for the chapter, and host a recreational spouse/guest event.
Review Day Committee Organizes bi-annual review sessions, presented by instructors, to help CPCU registrants study for their exams.
Scholarship and Library Committee Assists with distribution of scholarship funds and library text donations.
Speakers Bureau Committee Coordinates and solicits speaking engagements, maintains a library of prepared speeches developed by the CPCU Society on a variety of industry topics, and keeps a record of presentations given by chapter members.
Summer Activity Committee Plans and organizes a summer activity that is social in nature.
Visibility Committee Encourages local CPCU’s to promote the value of the CPCU designation to employers, businesses, consumers, and the general community.
Web Site Committee Provides access to information about events, committees, and resources for both our local chapter and national CPCU affiliates.
Workshop Committee Develops annual 1/2-day member workshop on contemporary industry issues.
