Community Cancer Center -

A Community-Based Resource

The Central Illinois CPCU Society Chapter is pleased to have Joe Prosser as our speaker on February 3, 2014. Joe has served as the Executive Director of the Community Cancer Center since August 1, 2013.  Note:  Due to the January 6th meeting cancellation, this is the same invitation that you received last month.

Prior to joining the Cancer Center, Prosser was Director of Radiation Oncology/Clinic operations for Scott & White Healthcare, Temple, TX, a large physician-led integrated health system.  He led the Radiation Oncology operations for the health system and had oversight for the development and construction of a new free standing cancer center.

Prosser received a MBA from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, MO, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from Webster University, Saint Louis. He also holds Radiologic Technology and Radiation Therapy certification.

The Community Cancer Center is a not-for-profit joint venture of OSF St. Joseph Medical Center and Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, committed to providing comprehensive services for cancer care throughout Central Illinois.

  • Created by the two hospitals in our community – Advocate BroMenn & OSF St. Joseph
  • Serves 220 patients a day with 7% annual growth
  • Three out of four families are touched by cancer
  • “The center enhances the quality of life.” It is a very important resource for our community
  • Anyone can help by volunteering, making donations, and showing support
  • “One hope. One mission. One community.”
